Inspiration
We took inspiration from the famous book written by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We also took inspiration from the movies, plays, musicals etc. based on this amazing and magical story!
What it does
It is the only website that the new owner of the factory, Pushpa will ever need to manage her factory easily and efficiently! We made sure this website was user-friendly, efficient, and made using interactive colors and designs to make it fun as well as useful for the 11 year old gamer. It helps the 11 year old owner to control the whole factory with just the click of a few buttons!
How we built it
Backend- Node JS, Supabase, Open RCS Frontend- React UI/UX Design and Pitchdeck- Figma
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many challenges unfortunately! Firstly, we ran into a login issue which took us almost 5 days to solve! Then we faced an issue with the frontend-backend connection but thankfully we overcame that issue easily. Then in the end we faced issues with the frontend due to React Framework's poor file management.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of everything! We are proud of our project, we are proud we were able to finish this project on time as well as proud that we were able to work as a team and create something amazing!
What we learned
We learnt a lot from this project. We learnt a new database for this project as well as learnt how to host websites on VPS.
What's next for Willy Wonka
We plan on improving and updating many of the existing features as well as adding new features like:
- Automatic salary transfer which will be secured using biometric security.
- Delivery truck tracking, so that the admin can track the deliveries, ETA, and add the database for the delivery personnel.
- Add the employee database in the admin dashboard.
