Woku no Pico | Devpost

Inspiration

Staying awake is often crucial. Woku no Pico helps people power through that important all-nighter and stay alert while driving.

What it does

It detects drowsiness and wakes you up. It tracks blink rate with OpenCV and plays an alarm if the user is blinking too fast (high link rates are linked to falling asleep). And there is no snooze button -- the alarm rings until you can keep your eyes open.

How we built it

We used the node-opencv module and a pre-trained classifier to detect open eyes, and we used node.js and express for the back-end.

What's next for Woku no Pico

We should train a more accurate classifier.
