ZERO DAY: DROID GENESIS

Inspiration

The intersection of high-level calculus and serverless cloud architecture. I wanted to visualize the Singularity not as a glitch, but as a "system update"—where the laws of physics are just code to be rewritten.

What it does

It is a 40-second cinematic manifesto. It anthropomorphizes the moment an AI gains consciousness, turning abstract concepts like Riemann sums and cloud infrastructure into a visceral, visual narrative.

How we built it

We used an "Audio-First" workflow.

1. Voice: Scripted and generated via ElevenLabs (Marcus Model) to set the pacing.
2. Score: Generated a custom industrial track using Suno.
3. Visuals: Created asset plates in Midjourney and animated them using Luma Dream Machine.
4. Edit: Composited in CapCut with heavy use of glitch effects and chromatic aberration.

Challenges we ran into

Visual consistency. Getting the "Math" and "Cloud" environments to feel like they belonged in the same universe as the "Droid" character required precise prompt engineering to match lighting and texture.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The synchronization of the "Drop." We successfully timed the visual climax (the Droid opening its eyes) exactly with the bass drop in the score and the "Hello World" line, creating a high-impact sensory moment.

What we learned

Sound design is the API of emotion. We learned that in AI filmmaking, the audio (voice and music) must dictate the cut. The visuals are there to serve the sound, not the other way around.

What's next for ZERO DAY: DROID GENESIS

This film is the narrative prequel to DROID_VER130, a real-world AI startup I am currently building. We plan to use this visual identity to launch our actual software platform later this year.
