Matt Wall is the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Tallinn. Prior to arriving in Tallinn, he served as the Deputy Director for NATO in the Department of State’s Office of Regional Security and Political Military Affairs in Washington, D.C. Also in Washington, Mr. Wall served in assignments as a Pearson Fellow on Capitol Hill providing foreign policy support to Congress and as a Deputy Director in the Bureau of Counterterrorism. He served in previous overseas assignments in Iraq, Vietnam, the U.S. Mission to NATO in Brussels, Afghanistan, New Zealand, and Albania.

Prior to joining the State Department, Mr. Wall worked in multiple industries as a business and IT senior consultant, as a project manager in the oil and gas industry, and served six years as an officer in the Air Force. Mr. Wall is a 1995 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and has an MBA from Colorado State University and M.S. in Management from Troy University. He is a native of Alabama and married to Christy Wall with a daughter and son both attending college.
