Not necessarily. Our tests have shown that annealing can significantly improve the heat resistance of the material. If your application does not require heat resistance above 80°C, you can use it directly without annealing.
Is this material compatible with AMS? Is it prone to brittle fracture?
Testing has shown that the bending fracture diameter of PET-GF15 is less than 20 mm, which means it is compatible with most printer feed systems and material stations. The filament has greater toughness than most fiber materials on the market and can be used with confidence.
Can the PET-GF15 be printed with an open printer?
We recommend using a printer with a chamber to ensure a more stable printing process and obtain parts with more stable dimensions. However, if you are printing parts with a smaller Z-axis, you can also use an open printer. When using an open printer, please note that you should set the base plate temperature to the recommended value and confirm that you are using a hardened nozzle to avoid rapid wear caused by the fiber material.
