Hi Daniel,

The specific font in question is most likely Bitstream’s Impress, which is a 1980s digitization of Prima, see this comparison. The original Filmotype Prima was hardly in use anymore by the late 1990s, and had disappeared together with phototype composing devices. Filmotype’s official digitization under the original name wasn’t released before 2011. I have adjusted the font ID and the text mention.

There are many predigital typeface designs that have never been digitized. Caruso Roxy is one of them. Or at least its original bolder weight is. In 1992, Bob Alonso – a former staff member of Photo-Lettering – made a digital interpretation of the lighter weight, under the name Pink Mouse.

Despite Konami using Dynacomware & Adobe font subscription, Konami still used KeyFonts DX fonts!
so I need research of Konami pirated font usage!
Konami also used the;
Alor Normal (pirated version of Ad Lib)
Block Normal (pirated version of ITC Machine)
Banner normal (pirated version of Bonnard FLF)
Tech Normal (pirated version of Arquitectura ICG)
Basque Normal (pirate version of Bisque ICG)

The OPTI Swallow font (which is similar to Davison Spencerian) reminds me of Benguiat Script fonts, Benguiat Presidential Script (pg. 46) and Benguiat Congressional Script (pg. 50) in the 1971 Photo Lettering specimen

Hi Gabriel, it’s not a lot, but here’s Essex as shown in the “Futura” section of a c.1974 Filmomaster catalog. As far as I can tell, Essex was a late addition and doesn’t feature in Filmtype’s c.1958 catalog (nor in VGC’s 1969 catalog).
