  1. Marc, I didn't even know there was such a thing as "submitting a ticket" any longer - I thought everything was handled here in the community forums. How do I submit one? (Thanks! Don)
  2. Good Monday morning all, Instead of describing the problem, I'll simply post two screenshots. The first is on my forum's home page, and when I click on "Upgrade Now," I get the the second one.
  3. Good friends, This community is wonderful, and I want to say thank you ("Thank you!") to everyone here. I've had multiple injuries recently, and have been unable to keep up with all the changes. I need to get a helper, but for now I don't have one. Now, I have this in the ACP: I'm sure this is a simple, quick-fix, but I have no idea what it is. When I try to upgrade, I get some sort of "Not Ready" message. This may not solve every problem, but I suspect it will solve some (sort of like, "If you see a few roaches, spray a couple of them, and hopefully the rest will slowly disappear.") :-) As always, thank you, Don Rockwell
  4. DawPi, Marc, I just wanted to say thank you for having taken the time to reply to me. I'm going to try this right now. Kind regards, Don Rockwell
  5. Hello folks, I've had a forum with Invision for 20+ years. Long ago, it was very busy and popular, and there are many, many topics that are "evergreen," and will be of use 100 years from now (in a very esoteric way). :-) Anyway, I have this forum which hasn't been updated in over a decade: https://www.donrockwell.com/forum/19-industry-superstar-chats/ I'm reincarnating one of these "chats," and moved it - as well as the forum - to a location on top of my website. (In other words, I went into ACP -> Forums, and physically moved the forum called "Industry Superstar Chats" up to the top of the website). I know the other topics are there because, before I physically moved the forum, I saw the list of them; now, when I try to click on the forum, nothing is there. Clearly, moving the forum (I guess you'd call it a "subforum") had something to do with this, but I'm not sure what. Before I muck anything else up, I thought I'd write here. I can always move it back, or whatever I might need to do in order to fix this. Thank you as always to the inimitable Invision support team. For over 20 years, you have been wonderful.
  6. Okay, great. The way things used to work was that whenever someone registered (and was yet to be validated), an email would be sent to "[email protected]" with their answers. These emails stopped coming in long ago, and they're the ones that alerted our membership director that there was someone pending. I haven't gotten any emails to that membership address in quite some time now. Does each Administrator need to individually set their own settings? I guess I can do everything from my own account and just ignore Membership if that will make things easier.
  7. Jim, I'm coming from a knowledge base of zero, so it's hard for me to understand this. (Is there a tutorial about the ACP anywhere? I'd be happy to go through it in great detail.) Anyway, there are three tabs under "Profiles" - Profile Fields, Profile Completion, and Profile Settings. When I click on "Profile Fields" and expand "Registration," I get this: When I click on "Profile Completion," I get this: This may be what I was mucking with this morning. I think I added a fifth field which I've since deleted. Right now, I'm fumbling around, not knowing what I'm doing. And "Profile Settings" looks like it's just a bunch of, well, settings. I'm not sure how these three tabs relate to each other, but I think that deleting the fifth entry in "Profile Completion" fixed the issue. I think. Maybe. :-) Anyway, I really appreciate your help! Don
  8. Marc, will these settings send things to my email? I'm not sure why they aren't coming. A new member requires admin validation No Yes - once until addressed Yes - every occurrence A new member has completed registration No Yes A member is flagged as a spammer No Yes
  9. Hi Square Wheels, and thank you for having taken the time to answer. This option is indeed checked, and I thought the validation email would go to [email protected] (which is the membership account, and has admin privileges), but no emails are coming (and they haven't come in months). At one point, I remember there was a place to specify where these emails would go (or at least, I think I remember this), but I no longer see it.
  10. Jim, I did. And I also deleted some that appeared redundant (everything was appearing twice, and I deleted the duplicates). It sounds like you're onto something, but I can't figure out what I did. I'm almost certain that I toggled a button that had to do with "Signatures," but now I can't find it.
  11. I didn't realize what I had done - would someone please tell me How -> To -> Find -> This -> Toggle? Thank you very much, Don
  12. Hello folks, I've been running a forum here for over twenty years, and this used to work. But (long story) I got injured awhile back, and thing slipped; now, I want to make this the "IPB Comeback Forum of the Decade." :-) The registration process used to go smoothly, but then I lost my Membership Director, and now when new users register, the confirmation email doesn't get sent to "[email protected]" (website.name being, of course, the name of the website ... am I allowed to write that here?) I've gone into the ACP, and even asked on ChatGPT how to do it, but cannot figure it out. Would someone please put a little Step -> By -> Step tutorial here that says how to enable the setting, where to enter the fields, etc.? Also, to prevent my repeating basic questions like this going forward, is there any kind of basic tutorial I can read? The ACP is tremendously complex. Thank you very much to the always-conscientious user-support staff here. Don
  13. I figured out what the problem was: I ran the update on a Chromebook. I checked later on my iPhone - this is what must have caused the invalid security token ... when I tried just now on my Chromebook, it worked. Moral of the story: Don't use two different devices to update!
  14. I tried! I get this, and there’s nothing to click on.
