Over the last year, my main source for computer magazines, Archive.org, went down several times. That makes it very hard to find ads or do research. I want to purchase an external hard drive to hold hundreds of PDFs for article research.
I'm fascinated by the early history of personal computers. My first exposure to the topic was watching Robert X. Cringely's Triumph of the Nerds (and reading the book, which was based on Accidental Empires). Over the last couple of years, I've started writing about computer history. In 2021, I started a Substack using ads from old computer magazines to examine the products and companies that contributed to the history of the personal computer.
