In 2023, Mintbase had a fantastic journey! We went all out to make everything easier and more enjoyable for everyone using our tech. And guess what? We marked an impressive 44% in June— that’s a whole lot of progress!

Throughout the year, various projects launched their own Minsta, using Mintbase Wallet to simplify sign-ins. Minsta, an open-source app powered by Mintbase Technology, emerged as a modular platform to bring people together for diverse events. Explore more about Minsta here.

This month, we opened up our Stripe access for all of our users. After connecting your wallet to Mintbase, just go to <Manage>, then click <Stripe Connect>.

We officially launched our Mintbase Wallet during NEARCON. The aim of our Wallet is to make crypto onboarding ridiculously easy for non- crypto natives. Go to https://wallet.mintbase.xyz/ to experience the gasless, seedphrase-less easy to use wallet.

Thanks to our new Wallet, we rose up in the ranks of Dappradar.

Internal Hackathon

After NEARCON, our team did an internal hackathon to leverage our technologies, dive into our infrastructure and validate our documentation.
Here’s a short wrap of the different projects that our engineers worked on:

Till worked on stripe2near, a project where you can include stripe into your NFT checkout with a single HTTP request. The user pays with credit card, but the seller receives crypto.

Rui Santiago worked on Blogchain, a decentralized writer’s blog. Blogchain allows users to create blogs as smart contracts and posts as NFTs.

Luís Freitas created AI Chat, a minimal chat example that explores the concept of a unified AI API (Mintbase AI Router) and the use of Mintbase Credits for paying for AI chat completions. Check it out here.

Minsta

Following the success and positive reception at NEAR APAC, Mintbase is bringing Minsta back to NEARCON. Minsta users will be able to test our brand new Mintbase Wallet which revolutionizes onboarding hurdles to web3. During NEARCON, users will be able to partake on our brand-new campaign that rewards top photo takers at the event with generous prizes.

Mintbase Grants Cohort 2

After a tremendous success of the first Mintbase Builder Cohort, we are opening the doors for the next one. Past projects can be found here or in more detail on github. Submissions are open and can be done on github.

Stripe

We now allow anyone on Mintbase to receive credit card payments via stripe. This lowers onboarding hurdles to NFTs significantly and open the doors to all sorts of new industries and users.

During 7–10th of November, you can meet us at our NEARCON booth.

If you want to hear more about AI innovation, NFTs and the new Mintbase Wallet, come and watch Nate Geier’s talk on November 8th at 3PM, Layer 2 Stage (Convento de Beato).

Our Innovation Head Luís Freitas will be giving a talk on November 10th at 12 PM at the Block Zero Stage on the following topic: “fix(onboarding): resolve issues preventing new users".

This month we open sourced our audited contract factory and marketplace, responsible for deploying +1,500 NFT contracts on NEAR Team. This is the equivalent to the well known Open Zeppelin contract deployer. Developers are now able to quickly spin up their own contracts and NFT projects.

Mintbase Wallet

One of the biggest onboarding hurdles in web3 is the complexity of storing seedphrases and the need to own cryptocurrencies. The Mintbase Wallet which has been tested at several events, will be publicly released shortly.

Event solutions: Minsta

We inofficially released our Mintbase Wallet during the Rakhi festival in India and it was a great success. Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu festival celebrating the unbreakable and special bonds between siblings by taking photos of gifted bracelets. Users were able to easily create a wallet and then mint photo memories on the Rakhi Minsta app. Over 49 new NEAR wallets were created and over 441 NFTs minted. The users were mostly non-crypto natives and were able to easily mint NFTs without owning any cryptocurrencies.
