Spatialised is field research / data consultancy, specialising in open source geospatial tools, open data and data standards for micro- to landscape scale analysis. Topics of work cover a specialist interest in snow, ice and related systems; landscape ecology; the built environment – all the way to setting data policies or culture in a research and environmental work setting. It all draws on a background in psychology; field leadership; and polar geospatial science. And leans heavily into development of mapping and research work as tools for communicating about our planet. Have a browse of the tabs above, check out the recent stories listed below. We’d love to help you create beautiful maps, collect beautiful data, and have a [safe, effective] great time doing it.
Spatialised content remains ad free, and only tracks you for shopping cart purposes (your IP address is collected for statistics). You won’t be asked to subscribe, although you can if you want to – in which case you will receive email notifications for new posts. An RSS reader is a lower-impact way to stay updated – add https://www.spatialised.net/feed . Spatialised is also federated to planet.osgeo – where you can see updates from many places in the open geospatial world.
