    Hi,

I was notified by someone that they submitted our form but never heard from us. Comparing the backend Submissions with the emails that were sent to us, I noticed that we had never received email notifications from this person. I looked through all of March 2026 submissions and noticed one other person’s form was submitted without a corresponding email notification to us.

I then clicked “RESEND NOTIFICATION EMAIL” on the Submissions page for those missing entries. However, still no email was sent to us. I then chose another submission where we had received the notification email previously, and I clicked the “RESEND NOTIFICATION EMAIL” button. In this case, we did received the notification email again.

The two submissions that were not received were from Mar 24 and Mar 22. For the rest of March, all of our submissions were successful in notifying us by email (on the order of 50-100 submissions).

Do you have any idea what is causing the notification emails to not send?

I have checked spam btw and nothing is there either. I also have auto-updates on for the plugin.

    Thank you!

    Hi @georgerweber,

That’s an odd behaviour, in general, Forminator doesn’t have any specific setting for sending the email, it uses the default settings from your WP site/server. So if an email gets sent, it’s through the WP site’s or server’s email host configuration.

Could you please use an Email Log plugin and check whether any errors are captured in the email logs? You can use a plugin like the following:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/

Possible causes are that the email is being filtered in the destination email inbox or that there are specific errors. The above email log plugin should help in ruling it out.

Also, if possible please do check and see if you could setup an SMTP and see if that makes any difference? In most cases, setting SMTP plugins should help with fixing issues related to email deliverability.

You can check this for more info:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/branda/#smtp

Please do check and see how that goes.

    Regards,

    Nithin
