Helium is becoming scarce because of the war in the Middle East. The noble gas is indispensable as a coolant for research in quantum physics and semiconductors, as well as in chemistry, biology, and medical imaging. How is ETH Zurich dealing with the shortage and the prospect of rising prices?
Bradley Nelson, Professor of Robotics and Intelligent Systems at ETH Zurich, has been named a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE). He was honored for his pioneering contributions to microrobotics, nanorobotics and medical robotics, and their successful translation into commercial applications.
