Radabank - WOG - Varus: Rethinking Partner Cashback Powered by 42Flows Cashback is no longer just a retention feature, but a growth engine. Therefore, for retail banks, the real question is whether they can control reward economics to drive card usage. Since early 2025, the 42Flows Rewards Platform has powered a partner-driven ecosystem for RADABANK, connecting Ukrainian national retailers WOG and VARUS.UA. Nearly a year into the program, the results speak for themselves: 📈Card turnover increased by 30%. 🤝The partner ecosystem continues to expand. 💳Everyday transactions have become more frequent. Instead of relying on a flat, internally funded model, the bank adopted a structured approach using the 42Flows partner-driven rewards framework. This creates a connected value chain where banking and retail operate together: Partners partially fund rewards, allowing the bank to offer high cashback rates. Customer spending is directed toward high-frequency categories, ensuring the card stays top-of-wallet. The program scales seamlessly as new partners join. By aligning the financial aims of the bank and the retailer, we move beyond basic reward logic to build a system rooted in sustainability and rethinking loyalty economics as a controllable retail growth mechanism. We at 42Flows are proud to partner with Radabank, WOG, and Varus in building economically sound reward ecosystems – and we continue helping banks design sustainable and scalable loyalty models.

  • Anthropic published the code modernization playbook, yet we’ve already executed this strategy. While the market reacts to the news, our founder, Maksym Popov, shares why AI-driven legacy modernization has become a competitive necessity for banks. 20 years of code, 6 months of migration. See the 42Flows approach in action.

The era of vendor lock-in liquidation has begun. When I saw IBM's stock crash 13% following the release of Anthropic's Code Modernization Playbook, my reaction was instant recognition: "Wow, we've already done this." At 42Flows, we recently migrated a 20-year-old Visual Basic system to React in just six months, utilizing AI assistance - zero documentation and business logic buried deep within legacy stored procedures. Two years ago, I wouldn't have touched that project. And now here we are. The only detail is that we rewrote the system before the playbook was published 🙂 This news isn't only about IBM. It's a massive paradigm shift and not just hype. For decades, modernizing legacy systems was a financial dead end. The cost of reverse-engineering code often exceeded the cost of a total rewrite. As a result, banks were dependent on large consulting teams and rigid vendor contracts. In practice, agentic AI has flipped this equation. It transforms modernization into a high-velocity, data-driven process, providing visibility into legacy systems' logic. AI acts as an architect to deconstruct systems that were previously deemed too risky to touch: 🧩 Extracts undocumented business logic and workflows directly from source code. 🔗 Maps the implicit dependencies and shared data structures that may crash migration. 📊 Categorizes high-coupling zones to build a phased, safe strategic roadmap. 🔄 Generates functional tests so old and new systems run side by side, ensuring identical outputs before flipping the switch. Modernizing systems is now a financial strategy. Extracting logic from legacy cores into modern stacks returns control to the bank and breaks vendor lock-in. Once you understand exactly how your system works, you regain the leverage to choose: refactor the old or autonomously migrate to a new stack. For the first time, the vendor doesn't dictate the terms - you do. Therefore, the real risk today isn't outdated code. It's the risk of missing the window to claim this freedom. In banking, speed is the ultimate competitive advantage. Whoever shortens the modernization cycle first gains the strategic flexibility to meet customers' demands and dominate the market. Now that the black box is open, will you seize the moment to reclaim decision-making over your own roadmap?
