Who is building the global infrastructure for open and accessible digital reading? As we kick off 2026, we’re celebrating the global network of 𝟭𝟭𝟯 𝗘𝗗𝗥𝗟𝗮𝗯 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀—𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Our members are the architects of a digital reading world without silos. Whether protecting catalogs with LCP, building on Readium Foundation toolkits, or developing hardware and software, they ensure digital books are available to everyone. This ecosystem spans 𝟰𝟬 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, proving that the future of the book isn't just digital—it is interoperable, inclusive, and borderless. Our laboratory isn't just a team of 10, it’s a collective of 113 organizations committed to open standards. Starting this year, we will spotlight every new member. We’ve published our first Readino update just in time for Christmas. Less than a month after launch, this update introduces two important improvements: 📚 A new Special Offers section on the start page, making discounted books easier to discover 📚 OPDS 2.0 access, allowing compatible ebook readers to browse the catalogue, manage purchases, and access your wishlist directly We’re grateful for the early feedback and support, and we’re already working on the next step: FBReader integration.
