Filament v4 has been one of the most technically challenging projects I have ever worked on. There were moments where I wasn’t sure how we were going to solve certain problems, and times where it felt like we were pushing the limits of what was possible with the framework. The result has been worth it. In some areas we have managed to improve performance by 2-3 times, which took deep rewrites and careful optimisation. We have also shipped a bunch of exciting new features that will make building complex applications faster and easier than ever. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed, tested and gave feedback along the way. The beta was installed over 100,000 times in just two months, which gave us the insight we needed to make v4 stable and ready for production. It feels great to finally get this release out into the world! 💛

Missing a few, but so happy that a bunch of the team was (finally, after years of trying) able to get a photo together after Laracon. Thanks to our amazing community for all the love and excitement you shared with us during Laracon! See you next year!

🚀 🤖 I’m excited to release the first version of Laravel Loop, an MCP Server for Laravel that allows you to create custom tools and connect your Laravel app directly to AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and others. Let me show you how it works... 👇 I'm asking Claude Desktop "How many payments were made last month and what's the total revenue? Behind the scenes, Laravel Loop exposes the Filament Resources from my Laravel application as MCP tools (using the Laravel Loop Filament MCP Server), allowing Claude to interact with them directly. 🔧 You can, of course, register multiple tools, and they can work together. Laravel Loop supports all the MCP transports. STDIO, Streamable HTTP and SSE (which is currently deprecated in the spec). To make it easier to connect to your MCP client, we provide the “php artisan loop:mcp:generate-config” command, which will guide you through the configuration process by asking questions. We didn’t want too many dependencies or having to call random NPM packages using npx, so Laravel Loop runs the STDIO transport using a custom artisan command. This means you don’t have to call anything external to your Laravel application to run the MCP server. 🔗 Laravel Loop is available now! I can’t wait to hear what you think and to see what you all build with it. https://lnkd.in/deU7ehxh
