  • Open source identity infrastructure gets stronger when proven work moves into community governance. That's what happened this week. DSR Corporation has open sourced the Hiero Heka Identity Platform and contributed it to the Hiero project as a new subproject, bringing an enterprise-ready SSI toolkit into the same neutral home as the open source codebase that powers the Hedera network. Heka covers the full credential lifecycle: issuance, verification, and management, with support for OpenID4VC, DIDComm, SD-JWT, and AnonCreds across mobile wallet, web, and backend layers. Modular by design, it gives teams a production-grade starting point without having to build core identity components from scratch. • Introduction to Lockness – Production-Ready MPC ecosystem Building and deploying a distributed system that removes the Single Point of Failure is difficult. At Lockness (https://lnkd.in/g8_a5Hje), we make Multi-Party Computation (MPC) more accessible to both consumers, who integrate MPC into their infrastructure, and cryptographers, who develop distributed protocols. Join our introductory call to discover what Lockness offers, how you can benefit, and how to get involved in the ecosystem.

  • Ten years ago, a group of organisations decided to build the foundations of digital trust together, in the open. At the LF Decentralized Trust Member Summit, we celebrated a decade of that work. And we did what we've been doing since the beginning: we asked the people building this ecosystem to tell us what it looks like from where they're standing. Over the coming weeks, we're publishing 21 of those conversations, from the people who designed the governance infrastructure to the contributors who found the community through a social media post. CTOs who've been here since day one. Founders processing $4 billion a month, and researchers building the trust layer that AI agents will run on. It starts with Daniela Barbosa's summary. Follow along as the rest publish. 📍If someone in your network belongs in this conversation, tag them here. #MemberVoices2026 #DecentralizedTrust #OpenSource

  • Norges Bank has published the final report from Phase 5 of its CBDC exploration, assessing retail and wholesale models and testing a sandbox built on Hyperledger Besu. While the bank concluded that a CBDC is not currently warranted, the findings inform a decision on Norway's future digital currency issuance. The project source code is now publicly available as open source to assist other central banks in their CBDC research and experimental testing. • From Identity-First to Authority Continuity We built security around identity, tokens, and roles. It was never quite right, capability theorists knew this decades ago. AI agents just made the cracks impossible to ignore. This is the moment to correct the model. We will reason from first principles. What identity is. What an identifier is. What authority actually is, not a token you hold, but a continuous property of execution that can only shrink, never expand. Why confused deputy and privilege escalation are not edge cases. They are the structural outcome of building on possession.

  • Brazil's Ministry of Women has implemented a blockchain-secured reporting system for Ligue 180, the national hotline for women experiencing violence, built on Hyperledger Fabric by a consortium of BrBPO and Metasix Tecnologia to provide immutable, tamper-proof records for violence complaints. The system ensures that reports cannot be altered, lost, or suppressed across Brazil's protection network. By utilizing Hyperledger Fabric’s private data collections and certificate-based access, the Ministry maintains victim privacy while providing a complete, auditable trail for authorities. "There are a lot of moving parts, and every component needs to be hardened for security. We built a strong team and leaned heavily on the LF Decentralized Trust community, which was crucial." — David Reis, BrBPO Blockchain Team Leader. Results: - Complaints filed increased 64% in the first year after blockchain deployment - Cost per interaction processed dropped 73% - System sustains 1–2 million transactions per month - 16 states are integrated into the network, with 8 more in negotiation - Team contributed back to Hyperledger labs, including Fabric Ansible Collections and Kubernetes Chaincode Builder The implementation transforms Ligue 180 into a connected national protection network, providing the verifiable integrity required for more victims to come forward. 🔗 Read our latest case study: https://lnkd.in/gUKvZN49 #LFDecentralizedTrust #OpenSource #HyperledgerFabric #BlockchainForGood
