Jaya Gupta nailed it! and if you've been AI native, product plasticity is what you live. But what about enterprises? The RAG investment from last year. The orchestration framework from 6 months ago. MCP from 3 months ago. Model capabilities keep advancing and the AI stack keeps collapsing underneath you. The SaaSpocalypse won't be caused by AI replacing software. It'll be the result of organizations lacking product plasticity - years of building muscle around how to procure, staff, and maintain software that was supposed to last. But there is optimism where we're seeing user behavior change. People who are excited to use AI to get their work done -willing to iterate their way to the right answer rather than wait for the perfect tool. They don't need the stack to be settled. They need access to their data. Developers led the charge. The good news: it's now pulling over to developer-adjacent roles. Ops. Analytics. Domain experts asking their data real questions and iterating on the answers. You can't out-architect the capability curve. You can out-adopt it.
VC's are once again afraid of the application layer and updating their priors on the moats for the AI era.
