Automation is transforming #rebar production, one of construction’s most critical and labour-intensive processes. We’re excited to support MESH - Robotic Construction , an ETH Zürich spin-off, in bridging the gap between digital design and physical construction. 🤝 By combining intuitive software with the precision and performance of robotics, MESH enables flexible, scalable automated rebar fabrication, helping address labour shortages, improve safety, and boost productivity across the construction industry. With over 1 million rebar elements already processed in real-world projects, MESH is proving how automation not only accelerates production, but also removes workers from dangerous, repetitive tasks while significantly reducing errors through integrated digital quality control. Rebar tying: One-click to production 🦾 There is nothing more rewarding than seeing technology leave the lab and get to work in the real world. Tying reinforcement cages is traditionally one of the most labor-intensive tasks in the industry—repetitive, manual, and slow. With MESH Node, we’ve turned that bottleneck into a seamless, autonomous process. The MESH Node Impact: Proven: SABAG AG has operated the system for 9 months, producing thousands of cages and millions of ties for a major tunneling project. Accessible: Intuitive software means your existing crew can operate the system with ease. Flexible: Switch between cage designs with a single click. No complex reprogramming, no downtime. Scalable: Engineered for quick setup and re-deployment across different projects. Construction Automation isn't just "coming soon"—it’s here, and it’s tying the backbone of our infrastructure. Watch MESH Node in action at SABAG AG below. Ready to automate your production? Reach out to discuss ROI and how MESH Node can integrate into your workflow. #Robotics #Automation #ConstructionTech #Infrastructure #MeshNode #Innovation #FutureOfConstruction

How can we bring robotics and digital design together to rethink concrete construction? 🚀 As part of our research project TOPS – Topology-Optimized Concrete Slabs , we had the chance to visit our project partner MESH in Birr. Mesh is producing the reinforcement for the investigated topology-optimised slabs – not by hand, but through automated, robotic fabrication. This requires a complete rethinking of reinforcement strategies: simplifying and optimizing the design so that robots can build it efficiently. The exciting part? 👉 The first prototype load tests already look very promising! A big thanks goes to our partners Mesh AG and DataB GmbH for their expertise, collaboration, and commitment to innovation. 💡

#innovation #erneholzbau #holzhybridhochhaus
