Congratulations to the College of Engineering student entrepreneurs recognized at Michigan State University’s Burgess New Venture Challenge, the university’s premier pitch competition. Two engineering-led ventures earned honors: Sapt, led by Benjamin Meyer, a senior in applied engineering sciences, and Uzair Mohammed, a master’s student in computer science, received 5th place for its AI-powered business operating system for small and midsize businesses. DryX, founded by Kaniz Fatema Promee, a senior in mechanical engineering, earned the Social Impact Award for its compact, energy-efficient dish-drying system for commercial kitchens. Their recognition reflects the creativity, problem-solving and entrepreneurial drive of Spartan engineers.
