Every few years, a sensor redraws an entire product category. Most companies wait for someone else to prove it works. Most companies lose. Heart rate sat in hospitals for a century before Apple made it table stakes. ANC was a pilot's tool for decades before Sony and Apple made $300 headphones without it unthinkable. The science was settled long before the winners showed up. The product was the bottleneck. Ramses Alcaide's new piece in Fast Company argues brain sensing is next — and lays out why the window for head-worn hardware isn't hypothetical anymore. Early movers don't just win on features. They define the vocabulary of the category. Apple didn't sell a sensor — they sold "resting heart rate" as something worth caring about. That framing is the moat, and it compounds every year nobody else is using their words. Whoever does that work for cognitive state sets the terms for the next decade of anything worn above the shoulders. https://lnkd.in/eEPVFvvb

68 patents. Still just getting started. Neurable was just granted European Patent EP3740126 — “Brain-Computer Interface with Adaptations for High-Speed, Accurate, and Intuitive User Interactions” — published by the European Patent Office on April 1, 2026. The name says it all. The hard part is making BCI feel effortless. Anyone can wire up electrodes and read a signal. The real engineering challenge is making that interaction fast enough, accurate enough, and natural enough that the user stops thinking about the technology and just… uses it. That’s what this patent protects, the adaptations that close the gap between raw neural data and genuinely intuitive human-computer interaction. 68 patents now in our portfolio. Each one a brick in the foundation of a future where your brain is the most powerful interface you own. We’re building that future in Boston, one breakthrough at a time. 🧠 #Neurotech #BrainComputerInterface #Neurable #Patent #Innovation #BCI #DeepTech #Neuroscience #EuropeanPatent

We are so grateful for our own Jessica Randazza Pade continuing to use her own personal experiences to tell our story. Her latest, for Mother.ly, is on perimenopausal brain fog — what it actually feels like, not what the glossy wellness copy says. It's the kind of first-person writing that opens the door for the research, data, and honest conversation women's cognitive health has been waiting on. Go read it.
More in the way of deeply personal. I wrote about my own perimenopausal brain fog for Mother.ly. Sharing it took me longer than it should have. Thanks to my dear friend Amy Shoenthal, who encouraged me to tell the story when I was convinced no one wanted to hear it. Turns out that was the fog talking. https://lnkd.in/es8GhY_C

I slipped off a playground swing trying to show off to my three-year-old. My head hit a metal bar on the way down. By the next morning, my brain age was 53.1. I’m 41. I’ve spent years talking about brain health data professionally — in investor decks, partnership meetings, press releases. Watching my own brain age spike 22 years overnight (my cognitive age is 31) made everything I’d been saying feel urgent in a way it hadn’t before. What followed was something most concussion patients never get: a real-time window into how my brain was responding, recovering, and when it was actually back to baseline. My CT scan was clean. The data told a completely different story. It’s the most personal thing I’ve published — because for the first time, I wasn’t writing about brain health. I was watching my own. Link in the comments.

One of our former Neurable interns (Tucker Paron) is stepping into the boxing ring for Haymakers for Hope! 🥊 And they are bringing our brain-computer interface tech with them to training camp. 🧠⚡ We built our tech primarily for one reason: to track and unlock peak human performance. 📈 But here is the massive breakthrough for sports... By using it daily to optimize their training and focus, they are passively tracking their baseline brain health over time. 🛡️ I firmly believe this will become the absolute standard for all combat sports and pro athletics. Athletes will use neurotech to get a competitive edge, but that exact same data will be the key to preventing long-term brain damage and CTE. 💡 No athlete should have to sacrifice their cognitive future for the sport they love. They are fighting for an amazing cause, and I couldn't be prouder. I’ll be at the event cheering them on—hope to see some of the community there! 👋Donate here: https://lnkd.in/ejt-8fQZ Please take a second to check the link in the comments, read their story, and donate to help KO cancer. 🥊💥👇 #Neurable #HaymakersForHope #Neurotech #HumanPerformance #BrainHealth #Boxing #CTE #FutureOfSports

For the first time ever, we have neural data collected during live blast overpressure exposure. This is a big deal. Military personnel involved in breaching operations face repeated blast exposure — and until now, there has been no objective way to assess what's happening to their brains in the moments that matter most. Current protocols rely on minimum safe distances and self-reporting. But adrenaline lies. Symptoms are missed. And the critical 10-to-60-minute window after a blast — when the brain is already showing measurable signs of injury — goes largely undocumented. We set out to change that. Using the Ops-Core AMP Neuro headset, our EEG-integrated hearing protection developed with Gentex, we collected continuous brain health data from military and law enforcement personnel during a multi-day live breaching training program — before, during, and after blast exposure. The results were clear: increased Theta and Delta power, reduced Alpha activity, patterns that directly mirror the established neural signatures of mild traumatic brain injury. In real time. In the field. This isn't a lab study. This is operational data from the people we need to protect most. The white paper is out now. Read it — and share it with anyone working on the future of soldier safety and brain health. 🔗 [link in comments]

The cognitive data gap in women's health isn't just a research problem. It's a dismissal problem. For decades, women reporting brain fog, memory changes, and cognitive shifts during perimenopause were told it was stress. Or hormones. Or just getting older — as if that were an answer. Meanwhile the research wasn't being done, the baselines weren't being built, and the window for early intervention kept closing. Jessica Randazza Pade wrote about this for Fast Company this week, and it's one of the clearest explanations of why this gap exists, what it costs, and what closing it would actually require. https://lnkd.in/ei4uyN2v At Neurable, we believe brain data should be as routine as tracking your steps. For women, that's not just a product argument. It's a health equity argument. Jessica has been making it loudly, and we're glad she has a bigger platform to do it.

Your spring motivation isn't a vibe. It's your brain. Real Simple tapped our CEO Ramses Alcaide to explain the Fresh Start Effect — and spoiler: it's not a mindset thing. Winter suppresses serotonin. Sunlight brings it back. Your brain literally reboots. 🚀 Which is exactly why we get into this work. Because what if you didn't have to wait for March to understand what's happening in your head? What if you could see your focus, your fatigue, your mental peaks — in real time, every day? That's Neurable. Brain data that actually tells you something. Spring is just a reminder that your brain has been talking all along. We're building the tools to hear it. 🔗 Full article in the comments 👇 — worth the read. #Neurable #BrainHealth #Neuroscience #FreshStart #Focus #Neurotech
