WinDTwin is taking an important step forward in its stakeholder engagement journey. On 4 December 2025, at the WavEC Lisbon 2025 Seminar (Museu do Oriente, Lisbon), the project will introduce its vision for next-generation digital twins for offshore wind, marking the launch of its first local workshop. By joining a gathering that brings together policymakers, researchers, technology developers and industry leaders, WinDTwin is creating early dialogue around how advanced modelling, simulation and data integration can support better forecasting, planning and operational decisions in offshore wind. 🌀 How can #ArtificialIntelligence help us better understand the wind?  🔵BSC researchers developed a #deepelearning model that helps scientists recover the energy lost in simplified turbulence simulations, a common challenge in computational fluid dynamics. 🔵Their method was tested on both the Windsor body wake and in the urban flow around the 𝗕𝗦𝗖 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴. In both cases the method shows a significant improvement:  ⚙️ The mean energy error dropped from 37% to just 12%. 💨 The accuracy of flow & velocity predictions improved substantially. 🔵This research offers a promising way to make turbulence simulations more precise and computationally efficient, paving the way for better models in aerodynamics, wind engineering, and beyond. ➡ www.bsc.es/4Zj #AI Benet E.
