  • OGC Testbed-21 Demonstration | Register Now Open Geospatial Consortium Testbed-21 has brought industry and government together to tackle some of the toughest challenges in geospatial interoperability — through hands-on development and testing. Over two days, this webinar highlights what’s been built and what’s been learned — from new approaches to imagery formats and richer metadata to APIs, conformance tools, and real-world implementations. You’ll see this work in action through demonstrations using open source libraries like GStreamer and libheif, cloud-based tools, and API-driven approaches to managing data. We’ll also touch on performance, benchmarking, and how data quality, provenance, and trust are being built directly into workflows. If you’re working with imagery, metadata, or interoperable systems, this is a chance to see what’s working now — and where things are heading next. 🔗 Click here to Register for the Webinar: https://lnkd.in/gmU5JGk8 #OpenStandards #APIs #OpenSource #DataStandards #CloudComputing #DataIntegration

Data integration is where geospatial projects often slow down. It is a critical step in building a Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI), yet it remains a major bottleneck for developers. Much of this comes down to a lack of knowledge about the data itself, along with missing or incomplete metadata. In this blog, OGC's Joana Simoes kicks off a new series by outlining some of the most common challenges she has encountered. From not knowing what data is available to working with unstructured formats like CSV and Excel, these issues make integration far more difficult than it should be. While tools can support these processes, Joana’s key takeaway is clear. Education remains the most effective way to prevent these challenges in the first place. If you work with geospatial data, this will likely feel familiar. Read the full post: https://lnkd.in/dK2GSP93 #Geospatial #SDI #DataIntegration #Metadata #OGC #FAIRData #Developers
