Building a bionic hand requires advanced robotics. But making it truly life-changing? That requires listening 🗣️ Right now, amazing users from our community are participating in a usability study focused on Low-Battery Alerts 🔋 While our development starts in the lab, we want to know exactly how our tech holds up in the real world. By partnering directly with the people who rely on the Ability Hand every day, we ensure our engineering meets their actual needs. A huge thank you to our participants for helping us continuously improve! 🦾 Shoutout to our incredible team members Anna Karpova, Rebecca Bell, Garrett Donohue, and Kelli Knichel, for leading this initiative and turning user feedback into innovation. #PSYONIC #AbilityHand #Bionics #Prosthetics

"We build bionic limbs for both humans and robots." PSYONIC’s bionic hand is already in use at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and leading robotics labs. DROIDS caught up with Dr. Akhtar and Dale DiMassi from PSYONIC at GTC to check out their new demo. I first saw PSYONIC at the Humanoids Summit and I was fascinated by their approach to the hand problem. @Aadeel Akhtar, PhD had said to me then: "the hand problem is a data problem." Interview by Alexander Wolf Torres, Associate Editor. #robotics #nvidiagtc

April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month. This month is about visibility, representation, and recognizing the lived experiences of people in the limb different community. Visibility matters - not to evoke pity, but to expand what people believe is possible for themselves and everyone around them. We build for them. We learn from them. And every day, they remind us why we do what we do. #LLLDAM #PSYONIC

Designed for Real Life. Proven in the Real World. The Ability Hand is built for everyday tasks, and this is what that looks like in action. From fine motor control to practical, hands-on activities, these moments are where true functionality matters most. Grasping, adjusting, coordinating. Real movement for real independence. Stronger materials. Reinforced joints. Touch sensing built in. The Ability Hand is engineered to perform not just in the lab, but in daily life. #AbilityHand #PSYONIC #Bionics #Prosthetics #ADLs

Today, were excited to announce that the PSYONIC Ability Hand is officially integrated into NVIDIA Isaac Lab. As a part of our collaboration with NVIDIA, we're demonstrating this at GTC and streaming live data from a human Ability Hand user directly into Isaac Lab, visualizing real-time hand position and touch sensor data inside the simulation environment. What does this mean? This data can then be used for "real-to-real" transfer to train AI models from the same Ability Hand on human users to any robot platform, shown in the video. Same hand, any platform. This marks an important step toward connecting human dexterity, robotics, and AI training.
