Sigma connects directly to any MCP-compatible tool, like ChatGPT or Claude. This means you can ask questions of live, governed data without ever leaving the AI chat — and get answers grounded in your curated data models, semantic definitions, and validated workbooks. Your Sigma permissions are enforced automatically. The Sigma MCP Server is generally available today, and includes two out-of-the-box capabilities: 🔍 Search — discover the right data with natural language 📊 Analyze — run queries and return results into the conversation Learn more about the Sigma MCP Server in this blog by Product Manager Jordan Stein: https://lnkd.in/g3XidFGE

Sigma is the data and AI workspace built for the warehouse era. Sigma runs on data and AI from your cloud warehouse, providing scale, security, and always-live data. It’s also built with a familiar spreadsheet feel, letting anyone use data to solve problems without any special training. Sigma turns analysis into action with data-backed workflows that run on your data and AI. This lets you take your data to done without leaving the warehouse.

We cancelled a $15k/year SaaS contract—and replaced it with a simple Sigma workflow. In this blog, AI App Developer Nika Bose describes how she used Sigma to rebuild the core functionality of a revenue execution platform that our RevOps team previously used to process closed-won deals and notify the team. Building in Sigma with containers, API Actions, and a direct connection to the warehouse, Nika created an AI App that lets our RevOps team: → Review new deals quickly in a "baseball card" format → Send automated Slack notifications with full deal context → Add in custom gifs via the GIPHY API Bonus: Nika honored Sigma's company traditions by including an Input Table for employees to add their own "celebration phrase" to the notifications. We’re excited to share that Sigma has crossed $200 million in ARR—12 months after reaching $100 million ARR. But the real story behind our growth is the bets we’ve made as a business: Bet 1: CDWs are the key source of truth for enterprise AI. Bet 2: There is no single best stack for data and AI—optionality is everything. 1.1 million new users in a year tells us those bets are resonating. In a time when AI makes everyone a builder, Sigma is the platform—that operational layer—that enables your business to go fast and build with AI while also going safe when working with data. With capabilities like AI Apps, Sigma Agents, MCP connections, API Actions, AI copilots, and native writeback, we’re committed to providing everything your business needs to run your workflows with data and AI. The market has moved past pure analysis into AI-powered activation, and Sigma is here to meet the moment.

Before Sigma, Makena Capital Management, LLC's analysts spent up to 20 hours a week downloading CSVs, stitching together spreadsheets, and manually validating numbers. They had one monolithic Excel file for producing quarterly reports—with a 50% failure rate on open. Pairing Databricks with Sigma replaced that workflow with a live, governed analytics layer. Analysts stopped building reports and started doing analysis—even building "Scenario Lab" themselves: a forward-looking portfolio modeling tool where they can adjust return assumptions and run quant models directly on live data, no engineering support required. The impact: → 50% of weekly analyst hours reclaimed → Penny-level accuracy across $20B in AUM → Analysts building their own tools, not requesting them "We want analysts to do analysis. We don't want them spending their time building reports," said Head of Data Engineering Kunal Koppula. Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/g_SCA3dj

New in Sigma: 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 & 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. These are two building blocks that turn your warehouse data into app-ready workflows—no engineering required. 📋 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀: Design one card layout, and Sigma automatically generates a card for every row in your data source. Mix text, images, status badges, and action buttons. Filter, sort, and scroll through your entire dataset in a visual gallery. 🔍 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀: Click into any record and get a focused detail view—richer metrics, linked records, notes, and forms. Perfect for review, approval, or any workflow that requires the full picture before acting. Together, these elements provide the "master-detail" pattern that take your AI Apps—built on your data warehouse—to the next level. Learn more and start building here: https://lnkd.in/gVHKqJNz

Last week we launched Sigma Agents, designed to close the gap between data insight and action so your team can start automating what happens next. Sigma's Director of Product Management Zalak Trivedi wrote about how Sigma Agents analyze live warehouse data, automate recurring workflows, and support human-in-the-loop approvals — all natively inside Sigma, with no separate AI platform required. Customers are already seeing the impact: Abnormal AI cut their weekly forecast prep from 2 hours to 5 minutes with the help of Sigma Agents. $10 million. That's the estimated revenue recoverable per clinic when Stratum Med, Inc members reduce claim denials by just 3%—because operators can now get answers in minutes, not weeks, with Sigma. Many clinics "are living in a world where their data is siloed," says Chief Data Officer Jeramey Ward, MSc. "They have to put in a data team ticket in order to really get any kind of questions answered." But with Stratum and Sigma on Snowflake, clinic CFOs and CEOs can now get self-service access to live data with no retraining required. "You're literally going from [getting answers] sometimes never, sometimes six weeks, sometimes a year, to answering the question within five minutes. It's quite a transformation for these clinics," says Jeramey. Read the full story and catch Sigma at #stratumsummit2026 in Dallas this week.
