Where Fun at School Becomes Skills for the Future.™

About us

At Sphero, we create hands-on, engaging learning tools because we believe fun at school builds skills and confidence for the future. Education goes beyond facts and formulas – it opens doors, sparks curiosity, and reveals possibilities. When students solve problems and think creatively, they don’t just gain knowledge – they gain the power to use it.

Children had a lot of fun using Sphero  Blueprint to make different theme park and funfair rides.  They absolutely loved the spinning teacups, so we decided to design a teacup for their mini figure to attach to and snap onto the engineering kit. Prototyped and now in production for learners to use at STEM Skill Clubs  on Friday. Skills and 3D printing were all learned from 3D 360 Skills Training  courses, where we have been doing our own professional development for the benefit of our STEM sessions.

How do you bring AI into K12 classrooms safely? Sphero built a one-click AI coding assistant using Amazon Bedrock that gives students immediate feedback without open prompts or unpredictable outputs. The result: 65% of students get what they need in one click and return to their lesson. No waiting, no safety concerns, just learning. https://go.aws/4dxoKwa

Robotics and AI are already part of students’ everyday lives—even in something as familiar as food delivery! That’s why we’re excited to partner with DoorDash to bring real-world coding and autonomy into the classroom through the pilot education program, DoorDash Robotics Academy. The program recently launched its first session at the STEM Academy at Red Mountain Ranch, where students are getting hands-on with BOLT+ and DoorDash’s Dot robot. Students explore how robots “think,” make decisions, and operate in everyday environments. This program is designed to: • Support student learning through applied, real-world robotics concepts • Spark curiosity about future STEM and STEM-adjacent careers • Give communities a practical way to engage with emerging technologies Learn more about the program: https://bit.ly/4cb4LAO

Sphero have just pulled together a new resource to help educators and partners design better STEM programmes this year. Yes, it’s called a Summer Camp Guide… but in reality, this applies way beyond that. Depending on where you are, this could be: ☀️ Holiday programmes 🏫 After-school clubs 🛠️ STEM workshops 👨🏫 In-school enrichment The point is the same: giving students hands-on experiences that actually connect coding, engineering and creativity. It’s not just a collection of activities. It gives a clear pathway: ✅ starting with early, screen-free learning ✅ building through coding and problem solving ✅ all the way up to AI and engineering concepts It’s also flexible. You can lift what you need and adapt it to your context, your students, and how programmes run in your region. If you’re running programmes this year or supporting schools that are, it's worth taking a look 👉 https://lnkd.in/ey4WWEvg #STEMeducation #EdTech #RoboticsEducation #CodingForKids #EducationInnovation #FutureOfLearning

The first quarter of 2026 is officially in the books. Here are a few key updates you may have missed: 1. Blueprint Snap in classrooms The first Blueprint Snap kits have arrived to schools, bringing hands-on engineering and fast iteration to more students. We also expanded Snap's ever-growing curriculum library with six lessons on simple machines. 2. Even more content We introduced new AI Storytelling lessons for BOLT+ and made Computer Science Foundations free on Sphero Central. 3. Sphero Edu updates The Sphero Edu Block Canvas got a new look! The block navigation bar is now defaulted to the left on wider screens for easier navigation. 4. Getting ready for summer Our 2026 Sphero Summer Camp Guide has been fully refreshed, with new product integrations and four new camp agendas to support summer learning. One of the biggest gaps we see in schools right now is this: Students are often designing in CAD and building physically. But rarely in a connected way. Most tools treat these as separate experiences. We’ve just put something together to help bring that together. Sphero Blueprint Snap now works directly with Tinkercad Education, so students can: 💻 design custom parts digitally 🖨️ 3D Print them 🏗️ and actually attach them to real builds It also opens up simulation, so they can test ideas before bringing them to life. Tinkercad is often their first step into design and then Blueprint Snap takes them further into real engineering thinking. Feels like a much more complete pathway. If you’re working with schools or partners, worth a look: https://lnkd.in/enfZVYWA Want to know more about Blueprint Snap 👉 https://lnkd.in/eupHRWTd #EdTech #STEM #EngineeringEducation

"Students don’t type prompts or interact with an open interface. Instead, they tap a single button and receive immediate, focused feedback on their code. That one-click design reduces the risk of unpredictable outputs reaching students, keeping every AI interaction safe, age-appropriate, and focused on learning. It’s an approach that earns teacher trust and addresses the concerns that have made many schools hesitant about AI in the first place." When we began exploring the integration of AI into Sphero Edu, we had a clear guiding principle: it had to be safe, simple, and valuable—in that order. Following that philosophy and using Amazon Bedrock, we built an AI Assistant designed specifically for K–12 learning. Learn more about how we brought this vision to life: https://go.aws/4t0CJiq

Sphero indi & Blueprint Snap go together like peas and carrots. 😁 Together, they help early learners explore rapid prototyping, engineering design, and computational thinking in a hands-on, engaging way. P.S. There are even 3D-printing applications to extend the learning. 🖨️ https://lnkd.in/gxJsiHkE Resources & Lesson’s ⤵️ #STEM #Education #EdTech #RoboticsEducation #ComputationalThinking #FutureReady #HandsOnLearning

Personalized and adaptive learning are becoming central to how schools think about instruction in the age of AI. Personalized learning focuses on tailoring instruction to the individual student by meeting them where they are in terms of skill level, interests, and pace. Adaptive learning takes that a step further by dynamically adjusting support, feedback, and challenge based on how a student is performing in real time. In practice, that means moving away from a one-size-fits-all model toward learning experiences where students can progress differently, receive targeted feedback, and build deeper understanding through iteration. One place this is starting to take shape is inside the Sphero Edu platform with the AI Assistant. When students are coding, they can use the AI Assistant to get help directly inside their program. The assistant can provide real-time feedback by reviewing their program, explaining what the code is doing, and helping troubleshoot errors. This creates a powerful model for personalized and adaptive learning: • Students can move at their own pace • Struggling learners get immediate guidance instead of waiting for help • Advanced students can push their learning further with advanced challenges • Teachers gain another support tool while still guiding the learning process AI won’t replace great teaching, but when used thoughtfully, it can make hands-on learning experiences even more powerful.
