📢 Refocusing ReportPortal: investing in core automation value We want to be upfront with our community about what's changing in ReportPortal — and why. Later in 2026, we're shipping two major features (in ReportPortal version 26.1): 🔹 Test Management System — create test cases, plan releases, report both manual and automated results, all inside ReportPortal. It's free and open source. 🔹 Organizations — group projects into a single space with a unified quality view across your product. To make this possible with our team's capacity, we're making some hard but necessary trade-offs: 🔸 SSO (SAML) and LDAP will move to a paid subscription 🔸 Active Directory support will be removed starting from v26.1 🔸 GitHub auth remains free as part of the open-source solution This wasn't an easy decision. But maintaining enterprise auth — security patches, IdP compatibility, support — takes significant effort that pulls us away from building what ReportPortal was made for: test automation reporting and analytics. ⚠️ Important before you upgrade: → If you need AD or SSO on newer versions, paid options are available. To explore these options, reach out via link: https://lnkd.in/eY6uYdsQ. → If SSO is essential for your team and a paid subscription isn't an option, you can stay on versions below 26.1 — everything continues to work. → Please always read the release notes before upgrading. We're not changing our mission. ReportPortal is and will remain open source. We're just getting more intentional about where we invest our efforts — so we can deliver more value where it matters most. 🔗 Full details in our blog post: https://lnkd.in/ekmt-s3t

Risk is critical to talk about. But it’s also not much fun to talk about. So let’s shift gears towards ‘fun’. Quality Assurance Hub (QAHub) is a brand new initiative EPAM Systems’ Testing Practice is launching. It’s going to be our global testing community, which itself is made up of local communities across the planet. It’s mission? To join the shared campaign to raise awareness of #QE, #QA, and #testing and create opportunities for quality professionals to connect, share, and learn. We also want to open all the doors and build all the on ramps for anybody anywhere, who might want to explore and/or pursue a possible career in testing. Zero gatekeeping. 100% extended hands. There are going to be events, both live and virtual. Meetups. Networking opportunities. Learning opportunities. Contributor opportunities and more. It’s going to be awesome. The inaugural event is coming up! It’s a hackathon! The judges* are from all across the EPAM testing practice, from all over the world. Even our new EPAM NEORIS friends are a part of the fun. We hope you can join us, too! cc: Gaukhar Akhmetova, Test IO Community, Markus Naumann * DM me for their Venmo account information**. ** No, don’t actually do that, I’m kidding.

  • Happy Friday! And a very Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all those who celebrate! Like all of us in #QE/#QA, the concept of 'risk' is always at the forefront of our minds and priorities. From our #quality strategies, to our methodologies and processes, to our actual #testing execution, to our tools. Everything we do is focused on reducing risk, and all the looming consequences if we don't do so. Let's focus on our tools and tool selection. This isn't an issue constrained to testing of course. But let's explore the potential downstream impact of choosing our tools before we've fully identified and understood that actual problem or need that we're trying to solve for. Let's define it as a "Risk Stack". It's made up of risks that, working together, compound into our ultimate enemy: Waste. Have thoughts on this? Share them down in the Comments! 👎 The Risk Stack 📉 The Recipe: Undefined Intent -> Misaligned Selection -> Efficient Misexecution -> Costly Reversal 🔬 Solution Debt (wrong thing): “We committed to a solution before validating the problem.” 🛠️ Tooling Debt (wrong selection criteria): “We optimized for selecting a tool instead of understanding what the tool needed to do.” 💰 Implementation Debt (wrong execution target): “We invested time, money, and energy executing the wrong solution efficiently.” ⚠️ Decision Debt (wrong path + redo cost): “We now have to unwind the decision, restart the process, and pay the cost twice.” What methods or processes do YOU implement to manage the Risk Stack? Ever been burned by the Risk Stack? What did you learn? What were your key takeaways? 🎉 Shameless Plug: Did you know that EPAM has an online digital marketplace and catalog of all of our available EPAM products and accelerators, which includes our QE/QA/testing solutions? 🔎 Visit EPAM Systems SolutionsHub: https://lnkd.in/dtENHfjs Have questions? Always feel free to reach out and connect, and we'll do our best to guide you right. Even if the best tool for the job might not be one of ours. (But they may absolutely be! Have you seen the latest versions of favorites like ReportPortal, #Agentic QA, #EliteA, or #TDspora? Or our accelerators like #Drill4J, #Vividus, or #Healenium? Or our platforms like our cloud-based mobile device lab, #MobiTru? Plus! Most of these? #OpenSource) cc: Adam Auerbach, Tariq King, Venu Shinde, Péter Földházi, Gaukhar Akhmetova, Katie Barista

Our friend and colleague Jan Mazurek has just posted a new episode of his 'Let's Ask Expert!' series. This one, from a #quality and #testing perspective hit home pretty deeply. Because if there are any constants in any testing professional's life? It's chaos. It's stress. It's constant change. Hope springs eternal that I'll one day be able to get people to share their own thoughts and insights in the Comments section. Especially other Test IO'ers. But whether you're Dev/DevOps or QE/QA, how do you navigate the oft turbulent waters you're tasked with charting courses through? You can learn how EPAM Systems' Maryna Didkovska did it at the upcoming #EuroSTAR 2026: https://lnkd.in/emMkGB6z CC: Péter Földházi

Agentic QA has been capturing hearts, minds, #QualityEngineering strategies, and modernized AI-first #testing #transformations. If you missed getting to know #AQA from our launch, here's another opportunity to meet & greet. If you DID catch our launch, well, we've still got something for you as well. One of the most exciting opportunities that agentic solutions are creating, is the ability for us to build virtual teams of autonomous and intelligent networked AI-native systems that are able to integrate and collaborate with one another. The second part of this video will walk you through a scenario where AQA is working with two of our other quality solutions: EliteA and MobiTru. 📽️ https://lnkd.in/eSXNKUh6 Questions or curiosities about anything you see in the video? Just ask down in the Comments. We might even be able to coax some of the brilliant minds behind AQA, EliteA, and MobiTru to chime in. cc: Adam Auerbach, Tariq King, Jan Schwenzien, Francesca Morando, Emma Pyne (Take 2. Thanks to those who Commented and let me know the thumbnail link wasn't working. The text link seemed to be, not sure what wire was crossed. Anyway. This should set things right.)

We've kind of been in a #performance and #load #testing kick for a few blogs. But for good reason. Because they're two of those things that you can end up -really- wishing you'd spent more time on when users pour in to use your app or visit your site and your infrastructure's knees buckle and collapse. Especially as we're seeing more and more #AI Infused Apps (#AIIA) and #agentic solutions brought to market. Performance and load testing are becoming more critical than ever. But! We all know some people use 'performance' and 'load' interchangeably. Which is one of those things that can cause much teeth grinding. <localization and translation have entered the chat>We feel you.</chat> 🐿️ https://lnkd.in/gWtAZCjB Also, speaking of demand spikes. #AgenticQA and #Human Experience Testing (#HXT) have been seeing tremendous demand. If you'd be interested in learning what the fuss is all about: 🧭 https://test.io 🤘 Don't be shy about dropping us a line to grab a demo. Calendars have been filling up quickly, and we want to get you 'in' ASAP. CC: Tatiana Galitsyn

Jan Mazurek, a Chief Business Analyst at EPAM Systems, hosts a regular series called "Let's Ask Expert!", in which he pulls in subject matter experts to dig deep into a particular topic - often the more abstract and tangible intangibles that impact how we work with and within our organizations. Check this latest episode "How to Hack Your Charm - Radiating with Charisma": https://lnkd.in/gNZ8CcYj If you know Tariq King - and who doesn't at this point? - you've felt the impact his intelligent, calm, reassuring demeanor has on the people he speaks with. And when it comes to fighting #QE and #QA fires 'calm' and 'reassuring' aren't often the standard. "Okay, but what does this have to do with testing?" Everything. QE and QA are often sailing into significant headwinds when it comes to securing needed resources - budget, headcount, time, sanity. And every #tester will tell you that you can only squeeze just so much blood from the stone until resources are stretched too thin that coverage, speed, scalability, and quality all start to suffer. Yes, there's no getting around needing to prove ROI and show the receipts. But we know those simply can't tell the whole story. User satisfaction, user sentiment, accessibility, usability, time-to-ship, SDLC acceleration without sacrificing stability or incurring tech debt - all of those work together to deliver greater ROI, more customers, and greater customer retention. We can all improve on our abilities to influence people and nurture alignment and support. See if some of the insights in the video might apply to helping you build stronger, more robust, and more resilient #quality organizations. Would definitely be interested in thoughts around this subject. What's worked. What hasn't worked. In the Comments below.

I know! The first Monday back in a brand new year (Happy 2026!) and the absolute first thing you want to do is learn stuff? We've got you covered! #Performance testing is a surprisingly deep topic with many different layers. It is also mission critical for any and every digital experience that's customer facing. We've all heard the exchange: "How's business?" "Great! So good we can't keep up!" "Not a bad problem to have!" But -we- know, it IS a bad problem to have. Because if your target market falls in love with you and beats a path to your digital doorstep, but your app and infrastructure aren't able to keep up with demand? Game. Over. You should maybe save time and just set up a redirect to a competitor's site. Fortunately, you have some incredibly powerful tools and #testing methodologies available to assure that every user feels like you've rolled out the red carpet for them. Our latest SolutionsHub blog breaks it all down for you. 🎓 https://lnkd.in/eEBVMqbw CC: Tatiana Galitsyn

If you've been to any #testing and #quality events this year, pretty much anywhere in the world. You've likely gotten to attend Tariq King's "Human Experience Testing - The New Quality Frontier" presentation. #HXT is quickly becoming THE cornerstone of both 'traditional' app #QE and #QA, and AI-infused (#AIIA) and #agentic app QE and QA. Why? Because a critical gap has emerged where "everything is tested, but nothing is experienced" creating the risk of delivering products that are perfectly functional. But customers hate using them, or can't use them. Distilling everything he's learned in his travels, Tariq walks us through the what's, why's, how's, and when's, to both demystify HXT and help build bridges to HXT adoption for #dev and #quality teams. 📽️ https://lnkd.in/eGhsaQ4i 🫶 Questions or comments? Leave them below. Tag Tariq. We'd LOVE to talk HXT. ⁉️ And in case you missed it, Adam Auerbach's 'Transforming Software Testing Into an AI Power User" is also available! He is also plenty taggable. Don't be shy about grabbing his ear either. 🎓 https://lnkd.in/eeanjTGB
