Congratulations to the Continuum Robotics Laboratory on receiving Stage 1 funding through the Eva and Allen Lau Commercialization Catalyst Prize! 🎉 The team has secured $5,000 in initial funding to advance its flexible, snake‑inspired continuum robots with applications in minimally invasive surgery and industrial inspection in hard‑to‑reach environments. They will now compete for a spot as a 2025-26 finalist, which includes up to $65,000 in funding to further accelerate their path to commercialization. The prize was established through a visionary $2-million gift from #UofT alumni and renowned entrepreneurs Eva and Allen Lau. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eMzjKuS2 #Robotics #RoboticsResearch #UofTRobotics
