🍷 We connected Claude by Anthropic to an EU Digital Identity Wallet. Then we asked it to buy a bottle of wine. AI agents are becoming capable of acting on behalf of people: shopping, booking, managing services. But regulatory obligations associated with age verification, #KYC, AML, and #StrongCustomerAuthentication requirements do not disappear when the interaction is automated. The #EUDIWallet solves this. It gives #AIAgents a standards-based mechanism to request and verify credentials from a user's wallet, with the user always approving. The question is how to handle that moment cleanly while protecting user privacy and without breaking the flow. ✅ We built a working answer: an MCP server connected to our live EUDI wine shop demo that plugs into Claude and ChatGPT. The AI-based flow uses the EUDI Wallet to prove age. It keeps a human in the loop, protects user privacy, and is a real-world example of how #verifiablecredentials can be used in agentic transactions. Beyond the demo, this is the pattern for agentic commerce at scale. Verifiable credentials, open standards, and a human in the process where it counts.
