About us

At Zerion, we are on a mission to empower more people around the world with efficient, transparent, and censorship-resistant financial services. We do this by building applications, tools, and infrastructure enabling any smartphone holder, anywhere in the world, to build and manage their decentralized finance (DeFi) portfolios. The company was founded in 2016 by a technical team of crypto-native builders who sought to change the way centralized financial services work, primarily driven by experiencing the lack of financial opportunity within their countries. Zerion has grown to become one of the most popular DeFi interfaces in the world. Since inception, Zerion has processed over $1 billion in transaction volume and serves more than 300K monthly active users from over 150 countries. It has attracted significant investment from experienced investors such as Mosaic Ventures (investors in Alibaba Group and Pinterest), Lightspeed Ventures (investors in Snapchat), Placeholder Ventures, DeFi Alliance Fund, Continue Capital, DCG, and G1 Ventures amongst others. In 2019 and 2020, Zerion was awarded with the ‘best crypto UX/UI’ awards at DevCon Osaka 5 and London-based City AM’s inaugural Crypto AM awards respectively.

Every swap in Zerion Wallet just got even more competitive. We integrated the Uniswap API, the same infrastructure behind $4.3T+ in trading volume, as a swap provider. Built by Uniswap Labs, the API compares routes across all liquidity pools and other providers to find you the best price on 18+ chains. This gives Zerion users even better prices and deeper liquidity. It's already live. Open the Zerion Wallet, swap, done.

  • Only possible with crypto: AI agents pay for their own compute. At Zerion Live, Igor Yuzovitskiy from Bankr, pointed out that this is unique to crypto. Bankr's LLM Gateway offers access to 30+ leading LLM models. Usage can be paid for directly from a crypto wallet, using ETH, stablecoins or any other token. This is perfect for AI agents: they don't need credit cards or subscriptions. They can even spin up and fund new agents to help themselves. Lots of new use cases are possible now. This is just one of the topics that speakers touched upon at Zerion Live. Check out the full summary in the link below.

  • Got a tax extension? Your taxes aren't going to do themselves. But AI will. A Zerion user recently shared how he used Claude, Codex, and Zerion to handle his onchain & DeFi taxes. No new subscriptions, no spreadsheets, just a clear picture of their finances. So we wrote the guide. Here's how to use Claude and Zerion API to pull your full wallet history across EVM and Solana, normalize positions, and get everything export-ready for filing. All in one shot.

  • Zerion API now supports x402 payments on Solana AI agents can now pay per request in SOL - no API key needed here's what you can build: → fetch any wallet's portfolio across 40+ chains → track over 8K DeFi positions, PnL, and transaction history → get token charts and price data Solana drove half of all x402 transactions earlier this year. Coinbase still leads in cumulative volume. Tempo is growing fast. The x402 ecosystem is expanding across all three. Comment below if you're building agents on Solana.

Whop just shipped 6% yield to 21 million users. Most of them will never know it's DeFi. Whop's new Treasury product routes idle creator balances into Aave Labs lending markets through a Veda vault on Plasma. Whop users don't see any wallet, protocol, or chain. Just a number going up in their dashboard. Finally, DeFi's "money lego" vision comes to reality. But besides integrating all these elements, Whop needed accurate, real-time portfolio data for every user balance sitting in DeFi. Veda is a newer protocol so no existing data provider supported it out of the box. Our CTO Alex Bashlykov jumped in and built a custom Veda integration on Plasma. Their previous data provider said custom protocol integrations weren't possible. We shipped it in under an hour. Under the hood, Zerion indexes the entire Plasma chain and provides fully interpreted balances for addresses that hold Whop user balances in Veda vaults. Whop can take this data and use it the UI. The result: Whop's users see their balance update in real time. They don't know about Aave, Veda, or Plasma. They just see their money growing. Now any app can add money features that were previously limited to big fintechs. Things like sending earning a yield or sending money across the world. Crypto and DeFi can quietly power those but the user doesn't even need to know about it. If you're just thinking about these new features or already know what you need, Zerion can help you get there faster.

  • "Why use Zerion API? Can't we just build this in-house?" That's a very common question that Tobias Emery, BD at Zerion, gets. Watch the video to hear what he says. If you just want to read: - Running and managing your own nodes can be very expensive and requires specialized engineering resources - You can also use node providers, but again need resources to massage the data before you can use it - Finally, Zerion API has unique endpoints (DeFi positions, PnL) that aren't widely available elsewhere So, just use Zerion API.

  • Yesterday's EthCC panel "The Future of Programmable Money" was full of Zerion users: when asked about who knows Zerion, almost everyone raised hands. What was actually discussed there? Well, the panel was under the Chatham House Rules. The idea is to let panelists speak freely without the pressure of being quoted with direct attribution. So to get the alpha, find Abi D. somewhere in Cannes and ask him! He spoke there along with Benjamin Sarquis Peillard, Bruno Faviero, and Gareth Jenkinson, who has led the discussion.

  • Stop reading API docs endpoint by endpoint. There's a better way. This week, Zerion launched new developer docs with recipes. These task-focused walkthroughs that show you exactly what to build and how to build it. It's not just a list of endpoints and parameters. There's actual code for real use cases. Six recipes are live. 🔹 Portfolio tracker: wallet value and token breakdown across all major EVM chains + Solana. 🔹 Wallet transaction history: fetch transactions across chains and display them with all metadata and human-readable labels. 🔹 Wallet activity alerts: set up webhooks that fire on new transactions for things like mobile notifications. 🔹 PnL tracker: realized gains, unrealized gains, net invested. FIFO-standard, export-ready. 🔹 DeFi positions: lending, staking, LP positions across 8,000+ protocols in a single normalized response. 🔹 NFT portfolio viewer: get holdings with metadata and floor prices, no extra APIs needed. Each recipe tells you what you're building, shows the API calls, and links to what you'd wire up next. What else are you cooking? What other recipes would help?

  • For the last 3 years we've been focusing on providing the best wallet data for developers and agents through Zerion API. Today, we launched our improved docs for developers and agents to learn and utilize our platform. So, we sat down with the Head of API, Abi D. to hear the story of how Zerion API came about.
