Updates

  • Getting from “what happened” to “why it happened” is often where investigations slow down. Synergi Life now supports AI‑assisted 5 Whys, helping teams structure root cause analysis from the very start. The capability generates a first draft directly from the case description, giving investigators a clear starting point while keeping full control over review, adjustments, and final conclusions. What this means in practice: • More consistent root cause analysis across teams • Less time spent documenting and reworking findings • Stronger focus on underlying causes that lead to effective corrective actions 🎥 Watch the short video to see how AI‑assisted 5 Whys works inside Synergi Life. For a deeper look at the thinking behind the feature, read the blog: https://lnkd.in/e5uzHeGY

  • Built with the industry, for the industry. Bladed 5 is the result of close collaboration with the global wind turbine engineering community. More than 200 Bladed users from 44 companies contributed through feedback, workshops, and testing, helping shape a platform that reflects how engineering teams actually work today. This collaborative approach is built into Bladed 5 itself: supporting clearer interfaces between teams, better reuse of component data, and workflows that strengthen ownership, traceability, and verification across organisations. A modern platform, shaped by real engineering practice, for a changing wind industry. Learn more about Bladed 5: https://lnkd.in/eUUjQzzC

  • Since the 1990s, Bladed has been a cornerstone of wind turbine engineering. Across the globe, engineers have relied on Bladed 4 to deliver reliable load predictions for both onshore and offshore turbines. Bladed’s legacy is built on trust, technical depth, and a proven track record in the field. Bladed 4 remains an excellent, trusted tool for established projects, certification, and proven simulation chains. Its graphical interface, offshore and floating capabilities continue to serve engineers worldwide. But as the industry evolves, so must the tools. Read our story behind Bladed 5, the next step in the evolution of turbine engineering software. Read here: https://lnkd.in/eANrr_CF

  • Bladed 5 has arrived. For more than three decades, Bladed has been a trusted cornerstone of wind turbine engineering, supporting projects across the globe with reliable, certified load predictions and deep aeroelastic insight. Today we are excited to be launching Bladed 5, a modern, flexible and automatable platform built for the next decade of turbine innovation. More than 200 Bladed users across 44 organisations contributed to shaping Bladed 5 through workshops, feedback and testing, ensuring it fits real engineering workflows today. As turbines grow larger and more complex, engineering teams need tools that scale with increasing calculation volumes, support new architectures, and integrate seamlessly into automated workflows. Bladed 5 is designed for exactly this reality. Request a demo: https://lnkd.in/eTY8c-iW Download: https://lnkd.in/eRicwBhM

  • Improperly operated or maintained pressure vessels can fail catastrophically, releasing flammable or toxic chemicals, endangering workers, and causing significant asset damage. Understanding the consequences of these high‑impact scenarios is essential for safety professionals working with regulatory compliance, facility siting, layout design, fire and explosion protection, and emergency preparedness. Based on customer feedback, a Vessel catastrophic rupture app is now available in Phast Online, delivering fast, reliable results powered by advanced modelling capability, helping teams assess high‑impact scenarios with greater confidence and clarity. This update includes the integrated Martinsen and Marx time‑varying fireball model, offering deeper insight into rupture consequences and helping teams strengthen risk assessments and preparedness strategies. As safety challenges evolve, so must the tools used to analyse them. Phast Online offers: ✅ Simple, intuitive workflows ✅ Advanced consequence modelling ✅ A modern, easy‑to‑use web interface for real‑world scenarios Phast Online continues to advance to support the needs of today’s safety and risk professionals. • Grid-connected storage capacity is forecast to grow more than twenty-five-fold by 2060. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are increasingly located near urban areas and critical infrastructure. This proximity makes managing hazards like toxic off-gassing and vapour cloud explosions even more critical. See how DNV’s consequence modelling solutions – Phast, Phast Online, KFX and EXSIM – are building confidence across the BESS value chain. Read the article: https://lnkd.in/eZw9VSz6

  • Audits play a critical role in strengthening safety performance - but only when they help you identify weaknesses before they lead to incidents. Manual methods like spreadsheets and email chains make this difficult. That’s why more organisations are adopting EHS audit software to manage the full audit lifecycle with greater transparency, accountability and measurable improvement. If you’re looking to modernize your audit approach, we’ve created a complete guide to audit workflows, tracking and reporting. Access the guide here: https://lnkd.in/ef-Bqy-h

  • Efficient and transparent workflows are essential as floating wind structures grow in scale and complexity. With the latest release in software HydroD, the Response Reconstruction workflow for ULS can now be set up and run directly inside HydroD, supported by wizard‑based configuration and improved workspace integration. For teams looking to automate, HydroD also now supports Python scripting inside the same environment, making it easier to build repeatable and scalable engineering processes. We will demonstrate these new capabilities live on 10 February. Register here: https://dnv.social/75m

  • Floating wind projects rely on many different simulation tools, and your workflow shouldn’t be limited by that. Our software SESAM now supports coupled analysis results from Sima, OrcaFlex and Bladed across all floating wind time‑domain methods, enabling a more open and consistent workflow from global response to detailed structural checks.  This update strengthens data continuity, reduces rework, and gives engineering teams the flexibility to use the tools that best fit their project. We’ll cover the new integrations in detail in our webinar 10 February.     Join us to see what’s possible today and register here: https://lnkd.in/e-JXwKEE
