P... P... P... PEAAAAAAK! I LOVE IT AND I WOULD LLLOOOVVVVEEE TO SEE MORE GAME LIKE THIS!
i enjoyed the aesthetic and atmosphere of the game. The unsettling ambient noises and the choice of words from the dialogue window are unsettling and the concept of using a terminal to interact with your surroundings was a unique and fun to play concept. Great work.
the best game i ever see
Whoa, this was pretty promising at the start! The gameplay reminds me a lot of games like Quadrilateral Cowboy, what with the lite hacking-based puzzles to go alongside platforming and exploration, and the vibes in general felt very mysterious and intriguing. Despite some minor inconveniences like how I need to keep refocusing the hacking interface for every line, I was down to explore this world!
Unfortunately, the more I explored, the less my excitement drained. So much of the world was just bland and boring empty liminal space, and the puzzles all started to blend together, practically all involving forcing a death to respawn at a node you wouldn't be able to access normally. It was all just very simplistic, especially on the hacking side of things, which just felt like opening doors but with extra steps. I tried my best to stick with it, hoping for something new to happen, but it never came before I lost my patience. Was really hoping for a better-paced puzzle room experience like you'd get in something like Portal.
I think the biggest issue that screwed my perception of the game is the upgrade system. The first upgrade that I purchased was a jump height upgrade, and in retrospect, that upgrade should probably not be allowed because it allows you to completely skip over entire puzzles too easily. For example, the rotating laser puzzle might've been interesting, moving between walls and trying not to get zapped...if I wasn't able to just jump over it completely! Maybe for some people they enjoy the appeal of cheating the system, but for me, I felt like I missed out.
I was gonna give it another shot to see if maybe the puzzles get more interesting later on, but the game didn't have a save system and I didn't wanna bother going through the start all over again. Bit of a shame as I do think the game is quite promising: would love if you revisit this theme later on and are able to flesh it out!
