best game ive ever played my true childhood here
Madness is one of those games you don't expect to be so good until it hooks you. It starts like a typical Flash action game, but after a while, you realize it has much more depth than it initially seems, especially in Arena mode. It's incredibly satisfying to upgrade your character and try out different weapons while surviving increasingly difficult waves of enemies.
The best thing about it is how well it captures the Madness Combat style: everything is fast, violent, and chaotic, but also fun. It can sometimes lag a little or feel somewhat clunky in its controls, but for a game from its era, it's quite forgivable.
Overall, it's a super entertaining game with a lot of personality. It's not perfect, but it's very addictive and has that classic Newgrounds charm that makes it special.
