Salmonella can often be found in the intestinal tract of reptiles. A reptile with Salmonella can possibly infect its owner.Salmonella in iguanas is a health problem that can affect their owners sometimes more than the reptile itself. Beneficial bacteria, known as probiotics, have long been known to aid the intestinal tract of humans. Now a product is available for salmonella-positive reptiles. Many reptile-related diseases can be traced to the health of the reptiles intestinal tract. A good, well-balanced probiotic offers a safe approach for the gut of reptiles. Many have said that the use of NutriBAC has increased their reptile’s appetite, reversed constipation, and stopped regurgitation following feedings.
