The short summary is that Spatialised aims to exceed the privacy ambitions of the EU’s GDPR and California’s CCPA. While Spatialised does not fully control all of the system parts (eg Woocommerce and Printful), you should never be tracked, asked for personal data, or asked to set cookies just to read the material on spatialised.net. If this is not happening for you, let us know! Because the web store uses cookies to track things like shopping carts and recently viewed items, you may be asked to set cookies at https://spatialised.net/shop and its sub-pages.
Who we are
Our website address is: https://www.spatialised.net. Spatialised is built on a self-hosted WordPress installation and uses Jetpack statistics. It does not use edge caching, or track your travels across the website outside of IP addresses and page requests logged by the web server.

You may not add media to Spatialised.net. All media is wholly owned by Spatialised.net or used and attributed as per the media owner’s requirements.
Cookies
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data
Data retained in the online shop have the following retention times:
Inactive accounts: 30 days – if you have not interacted with the online store in 30 days, your data are deleted.
Pending orders: 7 days
Failed orders: 7 days
Cancelled orders: 7 days
Completed orders: 30 days – this gives us time to shift financial details to an accounting system. Your details are not transferred, they are deleted.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
For purchasing at the spatialised web store, your data are sent to Printful for shipping purposes, and Woocommerce’s payment gateway to manage transactions.
The spatialised.net shop uses Woocommerce to manage customer interactions and transactions. Most products (apparel etc) are produced by Printful. If you never visit the Spatialised.net shop, this section does not apply to you.

A summary for spatialised web store customers:
While visiting the store, Woocommerce tracks products you’ve viewed. This is used, for example, to show you products you’ve recently viewed. Location, IP address and browser type are used for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping. Your shipping address is used to estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!
Woocommerce also uses cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.
Payment details
Payment details provided to spatialised.net to make an order are not retained by Spatialised. We have explicitly set the store up so that you cannot make accounts or save card / other payment details.
Details are transmitted securely using Woocommerce to a Stripe gateway, which handles transactions on our behalf. We see transactions as arriving from Woocommerce attached to an order receipt.
