I am a postdoctoral researcher at UCLA AIVC Lab, where I work with Chenfanfu Jiang. I completed my PhD in the Data and System Engineering Department at the University of Hong Kong, where I was supervised by Henry Y.K. Lau and worked closely with Hongbo Fu. Before that, I received my B.E. from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Northeastern University, China, in July 2018.
My primary research interests focus on Human-AI content creation in visual computing—including computer graphics, computer vision, human-computer interaction and embodied AI. My work spans 2D sketching and painting, 3D modeling, and 4D physics-based interactive dynamics. I am particularly passionate about combining physics- and geometry-based principles with generative models to create highly controllable and visually compelling 2D, 3D, and 4D content. A few questions that drive my recent research are:
Human-Centered AI: How can we enable AI to assist humans in better understanding, learning, collabrating and creating?
Embodied AI: How can we leverage LLMs/VLMs to enhance robotic policies and advance human-robot collaboration?
Modeling and Dynamics: How can we apply physics- and geometry-based rules to generate more realistic 3D and 4D assets for VR, AR and embodied AI?
