Differential technology development drives how we choose projects. We're building a 21st-century research lab focused on 21st-century problems. Not every technology is inevitable – rather, the market fails to incentivise domains that are key to human flourishing. We work in these areas.
We are one of ARIA's nine Activation Partners. Our pitch is simple: scientific breakthroughs often require tools that don't yet exist. We develop these new tools - enabling scientific discovery by inventing new hardware.
Our hardware team is focused on securing advanced AI systems, we demonstrated the flexHEG architecture with Ulyssean and are now working to implement it at scale. We're working on both multilateral governance and hardware security.
We apply physical sciences to counter biological threats, we are partnering with the University of Sheffield on an automated RNA vaccine production system, with Oxford University on next-generation respiratory PPE, and with RAND on building-scale biodefense systems.
