A new direction for Programiz (and the world)

Hi everyone,

For over a decade, Programiz has helped people learn to code. When we started in 2011, knowing how to code was a valuable and marketable skill. Today, AI writes code faster than any of us. I myself haven't written any code by hand for months!

So what HAVE I been up to? I've spent the last 12 months deeply entrenched in AI, spending time with people from diverse industries: software, banking, social service, education and more, learning about where each group is struggling and where we can intervene with our experience in teaching fundamentals. We held off on jumping into the AI upskilling bandwagon because I wanted to personally understand the technology deeply before we had the credibility to teach it.

For anyone learning today, the more important capability is “can I think clearly enough to know what to build, why it matters, and whether it's right.”

We've built a new platform from the ground up so that teaching any concept, not just a programming language, but a statistical idea, a mathematical proof, an AI concept or even communication skills can be designed, tested, and improved at the speed the world is actually moving.

Practically, here's what that means for you:

• New courses launch faster. And they'll all be free until September 30, 2026 so we can learn about what you like and what we should improve on.
• Learning that adapts to how you actually think. Visual concepts get visual treatment. Assessments go beyond right-or-wrong answers to real reasoning: presentations, projects, problems you solve with your own data.
• A platform that listens and evolves. Every time you stumble, we ask you what was confusing and the issue you report gets fixed for you and all our other learners in hours.
