As PSMA-targeted therapies continue to advance, imaging teams are under increasing pressure to generate high-quality quantitative data quickly, consistently, and at scale. The challenge is managing growing data volumes while maintaining the scientific rigor and expert oversight that sponsors depend on. Perceptive scientists recently presented research on an automated multi-anatomy lesion segmentation and classification approach to support PSMA-PET analysis. The workflow uses machine learning to help identify lesions, separate adjacent lesions, classify anatomy, and accelerate lesion-level quantitative assessment, enabling experts to focus more of their time on interpretation and quality review. The results were promising: ✅ Strong agreement with expert manual segmentations ✅ Greater reproducibility across datasets ✅ Reduced inter-reader variability ✅ More than 50% reduction in reader time per scan As the volume and complexity of PSMA-PET studies continue to grow, thoughtfully applied automation may help sponsors improve scalability while maintaining confidence in the quality of their data. Can quantitative image quality metrics help identify off-target signal and image noise in amyloid PET scans? In this AAIC 2026 poster, Perceptive Imaging researchers explored quantitative approaches for assessing off-target signal and image noise in amyloid PET imaging from the multicenter Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) study and evaluated how these measures relate to visual quality control assessments.
