Hi, I have several websites and yes, splitting them is an easy way. You can also create subdomains for each project so that they are associated with you, but exposed only when you want.

- this is further split into essays, notes, bookmarks etc.

I've personally kept two domains for this. http://anarodrigu.es (for when I am looking for a job) and http://ohhelloana.blog (the main playground). I appreciate this isn't always affordable.

In the past, http://ohhelloana.blog used to live under http://blog.anarodrigu.es - I only moved because for a while my blog was detached from my surname (it isn't the case anymore).

I currently have http://alexsirac.com and http://alexsirac.pro, although I'm considering moving the personal to .fr and having .com be a single page where you choose on which site you'll go

I would recommend subdomains for different types of content, if that's they way you want to go. I like how it allows them to have their own design and personality. I've started to explore that with different content on my website. With multiple domains, there are multiple renewals and more chances you'll let some of them lapse. https://blog.jim-nielsen.com/2023/domain-sins-of-my-youth/ sums this up nicely.

Thank you all for your insights! I'll stick with the subdomain option myself cause buying another domain is too expensive
