Inspiration
We created RideDash because gas and everyday costs are getting expensive. We wanted to help drivers make more money without having to work longer hours.
What it does
RideDash combines rides and food delivery. Hybrid Mode lets drivers pick up food orders along their route so they can earn more from one trip.
How we built it
We used a online tool that let us publish web apps while allowing us to code in languages we were comfortable with along with the help of AI for debugs, we used html, css, tsx and js to build the app
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge while building the app was figuring out how to ensure that the detour food pickup doesn't exceed 10 minutes as we needed to take into account the kitchen prepping the food and how busy the restaurant is.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we turned our idea into a working prototype with multiple features that people can actually try.
What we learned
We learned a lot about building an app, solving bugs, designing the interface, and working together as a team.
What's next for RideDash
Next, we want to improve Hybrid Mode with better route matching and real-time data so RideDash can eventually work in the real world.
