What is a credit?
1 USD credit covers one hour of runtime at the standard rate, for both batch jobs (like data pipelines) and interactive jobs (like notebooks). You pay only for the hours your jobs actually run, never for idle infrastructure. Every sandbox dltHub spins up has at least 2 vCPUs and 4GB of memory. If you need higher CPU or memory limits, talk to us.
How does usage pricing work beyond included credits?
After your included 500 credits each month, additional usage is billed in volume tiers. Every credit in a tier gets that tier's per-credit price:
- First 100 credits over included: $1.00 / credit
- Next 100 credits: $0.95 / credit
- Next 200 credits: $0.90 / credit
- Next 400 credits: $0.875 / credit
- Next 800 credits: $0.85 / credit
- Next 1,600 credits: $0.825 / credit
- Next 3,200 credits: $0.80 / credit
- Higher volumes (over 6,400 credits beyond included): contact sales for custom pricing
Annual commitments add a further 5% off the per-credit rate. Included credits don’t roll over month-to-month, but purchased bundle credits do. Pipelines do not pause automatically today.
At launch your admin team is alerted within 72 hours, when you reached 80% and 100% of included credits so you can buy a top-up bundle. Automatic balance-based pausing and grace buffers arrive in Q3 2026.
What does the source-available license include?
Every paid dltHub subscription includes a license to use the source-available capabilities: the AI workbench, change data capture (CDC), Apache Iceberg support, and in-pipeline transformations. The code is visible to the public and licensed for production use under your subscription; the OSS dlt library remains Apache 2.0.
How does annual commitment work?
Annual commitment locks the per-credit rate for 12 months and adds an additional 5% off any monthly volume tier. You pay upfront; unused credits roll within the term and expire at renewal. Mid-cycle top-up bundles are charged at the same volume rate without changing the commitment.
What credit bundles can I buy mid-cycle?
dltHub subscribers can buy additional credit bundles any time during the month. Bundles use the same volume-discount curve as overage:
- 100 credits: $100 (0% off)
- 200 credits: $190 (5% off)
- 400 credits: $360 (10% off)
- 800 credits: $700 (12.5% off)
- 1,600 credits: $1,360 (15% off)
- 3,200 credits: $2,640 (17.5% off)
- 6,400 credits: $5,120 (20% off)
- 12,800 credits: $9,920 (22.5% off)
Purchased bundle credits roll over month-to-month. During Phase I, top-ups are issued by invoice. Contact your account team or sales@dlthub.com to purchase. Self-serve checkout and auto top-up arrive in Q3 2026.
