    *Pardon my bad grammar*

I think the strongest aspect of this story is the mystery and complexity of the story. You think one theory, but then the narrative proves you wrong. However, the one complaint I had was the too-complex nature of some of the games' rules. "Virtual Paranoia" was probably the most irritating to memorize the rules. Of course, it might just be because I have a bad memory, but those lists of rank types were hard to absorb when I wanted to continue the story. Also, the advantages of listing the rules are the readers' attempt to figure out a strategy or anticipate the protagonist's next move to conquer the conflict while utilizing the rules, which can make the story more exciting and unpredictable. It was entertaining to read Yuzuruu come up with all of these strategies, but the regulations' complexity made it hard to care. It just felt like it was slowing down the story.

At times, it felt unnecessary to switch perspectives. Ichigo's perceptive did peek my interested in the mystery, but Yuzuruu's friend's (forgot his name) perceptive seemed unnecessary to be honest. It didn't feel like his narration did add much to the plot, however, I might be proven wrong later. Also, the perceptive switching in the beginning of the story was confusing because I wasn't formally introduced to all of the characters. The switching also made it difficult to be grounded and understand the world I was reading about. The names of the characters were especially confusing, but is just because it's difficult for me to remember Japanese names.

The character weren't special, however, I enjoyed reading the protagonist's struggle to win the trials.

The world was somewhat difficult to grasp, especially the time aspect and what I think was suicide requirement to enter into the Imaginary War.

I liked the images for "Virtual Paranoia" before each chapter, which showed which characters were dead. However, it did break the tension when Yuzuruu tried to investigate whether or not Number 4 was dead. The readers weren't anticipating the answer because the image already gave it away.

The concept of an eighth day that could bring someone back to life is interesting, and the tests or games used range from thought provoking to entertaining.

I enjoyed this book against first glimpse at it. The beginning was a little rough to start with which the characters not being established good yet however when entering the second set it flowed greatly. The games were interesting though the chess related one was hard to follow with the points. He hinted at the other games which I would love to see in other books. The MC was established quickly along with (girlfriend?)'s sister. His bestfriend seemed like his perspectives wasn't needed unless he is building slowly for future books. Overall I thought it was a great read even with the dark entrance requirements.
