Hey, I'm Aayan! I'm a software engineering student at the University of Waterloo, currently interning @ Shopify on the Payments team.

Some things I've built:

  • Halo: wearable AI assistant for people with vision loss. 1st place @ IEEE SSCS Arduino Contest 2025.
  • Maatchaa (repo): matches Shopify merchants with YouTube creators for product partnerships. Won Hack the North 2025.
  • discord.py fork: maintained while upstream development on discord.py was paused. I'm also a top-20 contributor to discord.py itself.
