The IESO delivers key services across the electricity sector including: managing the power system in real-time, planning for the province's future energy needs, enabling conservation and designing a more efficient electricity marketplace to support sector evolution.

In response to rising demand and evolving reliability needs, the IESO has developed three plans that outline recommendations for a phased approach to new and reinforced transmission infrastructure across Ontario. Indigenous Energy Support Program

The 2026 Indigenous Energy Support Program (IESP) application window is now open. Funding is available to support energy planning, infrastructure development, and capacity building for First Nation and Métis communities and organizations. Applications close October 2. Learn more and apply.
