Is Gather approved for the Queensland Government’s funded kindergarten program?

Yes. Gather offers a Queensland Government, funded kindergarten program for children who turn four by 30 June in their kindergarten year. Eligible families can access Free Kindy, which provides 15 hours per week for 40 weeks. Our program is delivered by qualified early childhood teachers and is embedded within our whole centre philosophy of connection, curiosity, and gentle, meaningful learning.

Can families receive the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) at Gather?

Absolutely. Gather is an approved Child Care Subsidy (CCS) service, which means most families are eligible for reduced fees based on their individual circumstances. CCS applies to all our programs, including funded kindergarten, long day care, and extended hours. We’re always happy to guide families through the process if they need support.

What does Gather mean by a “holistic approach” to early learning?

Our holistic approach honours the whole child, mind, body, emotions, and relationships. Children learn through sensory exploration, nature‑inspired play, slow transitions, nourishing food rhythms, and secure attachments with educators. We focus on wellbeing, connection, and real world experiences rather than overstimulation or rushed routines. Every part of the day is designed to feel calm, meaningful, and developmentally respectful.

Who regulates Gather, and what frameworks do you follow?

Gather operates under the Queensland Department of Education (DET) and follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Our programs, environments, and documentation meet all requirements of the National Quality Framework (NQF). Families can feel confident that our practice is both compliant and deeply child centred.

What are your operating hours, and how is the service staffed

We are open Monday to Friday, 6:30am–6:00pm, offering consistent, full day care for families. Gather is staffed by qualified full time early childhood teachers, diploma educators, and experienced assistants, all holding current blue cards, first aid, CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis training. Our ratios exceed minimum requirements whenever possible, ensuring children experience warm, attentive, relationship based care throughout the day.
