It goes past while you're in the middle of something else. Saving it means stopping, finding somewhere to put it, and coming back. So you don't — you bookmark it, DM it to yourself, leave the tab open. You won't find it again.
Double-tap Shift and whatever's selected is saved — you never left the window. Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+I does the same for a region of the screen.
Later, one click puts it back where you need it — not copied for you to paste. Plux opens the app, focuses the input, and drops the text in. It never hits Enter for you, and your previous clipboard comes back afterwards.
