In the landscape of my earliest memories, there was always a camera. My father would gather fragments of ordinary time, and we would sit together, quietly looking at them. Those moments became the origin of my sense of what photography can be. He was devoted to Nikon—“If it’s a camera, it has to be Nikon,” he would say. As if guided by that voice, the first camera I chose was also a Nikon.
