Annie Hex

Annie Hex (she/they) is a queer performance artist, spoken word poet, tarot reader, &amp; witch. I spread queer joy in the suburbs through my community organizing and work with queer youth. I host a variety of programming including a queer art club, queer proms, poetry workshops, tarot classes and more! I want to be the reason queer kids become adults. I want to show them that their dreamy queer futures are worth fighting for and they can be a reality. A lot of my work is about creating experiences. In my tarot readings, I help artists, creatives, and other marginalized groups get unblocked and glow up. I push people to follow their own path and make their dreams happen. I even have a ton of pep talk vending machines around to bring people the joy and inspiration they need right now.A lot of my work is meant to be FELT not just seen for brownie points on the internet. I show a tiny fraction of the queer organizing I’m doing locally on the IG. This is to keep it safe &amp; to keep it from being inauthentic or for show. 💖I do this work FOR THE KIDS. I radiate and create spaces for queer joy all over this conservative hellscape so queer and trans kids become adults. 💖🌈🏳️‍⚧️ I know I’m living right when queer kids say they wanna be like me when they grow up. I want them to see the future will be as bright as we make it. 🌈📣I have been putting my absolute all into this work. Giving it everything I have and then some. So this is where YOU come in....
