This year marks the 135th anniversary of the grand opening of the Petřín Tower and Mirror Maze, which was formerly the exhibition pavilion of the Czech Tourist Club. Parisians can admire the Petřín Tower in Prague, the younger sister of their Eiffel Tower. It so captivated the people of Prague at the 1889 World’s Fair that they decided to build one of their own. It is particularly famous for its romantic tradition of kissing under the blossoming cherry trees on May 1st. The record, which remains unbroken to this day, is 108 kissing couples at a single moment.
