{"id":1093,"date":"2021-01-06T15:31:22","date_gmt":"2021-01-06T15:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reaseheath100.com\/?p=1093"},"modified":"2021-01-06T15:59:31","modified_gmt":"2021-01-06T15:59:31","slug":"outstanding-success-for-equine-science-graduate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reaseheath100.com\/outstanding-success-for-equine-science-graduate\/","title":{"rendered":"Outstanding career success for Equine Science graduate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Michelle Hackett <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>BSc (Hons) Equine Science 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Along with a first class degree, Michelle secured a prestigious internship at Virginia Tech\u2019s MARE Center while studying at University Centre Reaseheath and gained a unique insight into horse and environmental health at the world renown equine research centre in Virginia, USA.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the centre\u2019s ground-breaking scientific achievements she realised that she wanted to work in medical research and found that her equine laboratory and clinical skills were very transferable.<\/p>\n<p>After graduating she spent 18 months at the Royal Surrey Hospital as a member of the NHS cancer screening team, followed by a period as a research scientist in human medicine based in Belfast.
